RE: first time full timer here i need help with a few questions

You will need many more than you have to come close to providing the power you need, if it is sunny.

RE: Treetops Village - Arlington, TX

We enjoy that Park as well. Too many trees to get a satellite signal, but the cable is good. It is close to shopping and food.
Not a rural/country campground.

RE: Once again...Mac users and MobileMe (.Mac)

http://www.apple.com/mobileme/
MobileMe is not a software package, it is a subscription service. You can learn more about it at the above address. I use it for posting pictures, transferring files using idisk, syncing my iphone, my e-mail, contacts and calendars. I'm very happy with it.

RE: Oregon's Coast, HWY 101 to Crescent City, CA in winter

We're in Brookings, Or.
All of the RV parks are open. It rarely gets below the high 40's at night and is in the 50's and 60's during the day.

RE: Internet and Emailing on the road.

There are many free and/or cheap e-mail providers.
Yahoo and G-mail for example.
f you have Verizon, you don't need clearwire or anyone else, in order to get on the internet.
It sounds like you need an e-mail provider

RE: Internet and Emailing on the road.

Not sure what you mean. If you have Verizon Broadband then that is how you access the internet.
Are you asking about an e-mail provider? Yahoo, G-Mail ( Google),etc.

RE: Grand Canyon campground

We would and have stayed at Trailer Village inside the national park. You can walk to the canyon or catch the shuttle right at the campground.
They have full hook-ups.

RE: HD TV...

The changeover is from analog to digital. Digital and HD are not the same thing. Hd is a digital signal, but digital is not always HD.
You do not need a special antenna. My old roof antenna gets digital just fine.

RE: Do you carry a portable HD dish?

We are full-timers and have had a roof mounted dish for almost 6 years now. We do not carry a portable dish. Sometimes we have to do without the satellite service, but not often.

RE: Digital TV Coming

You will need a converter or TV with a digital tuner. A digital tuner will tune to channels such as 55.1 or 55-1.
I am all but positive your "cable box" will not convert the signal from your roof mount antenna.

RE: yellowstone trip

The park is so big that you could drive 60 miles or more from Grizzly to a visitors center. It is 20+ miles to the nearest visitors center from Grizzly.
I would suggest staying inside the park. We have done both and if you have only three weeks, stay inside the park so you won't spend as much time driving.

RE: After TV goes all digitial will the range increase?

I would guess that the power requirement for the digital signal would decrease the range.

RE: analog to digital changeover (over the air reception)

If your tv has a digital tuner, then you do not need a converter.
If you can tunes to channels such as 55.3 or 55-3, 26.13 or 26-13 then you have a digital tuner.

RE: 5th wheel size,National Parks ?

I would say that 38-39' would be too big for most parks. We are full-timers and tracel to many National parks. Our 35' 5er is too big for many.
Also, be careful in selecting a 5er. Make sure that your truck has the capacity to haul it. We have a Ford F-550 to pull our trailer weighing 17,500.
I don't know that there are many 38' 5ers that you will have the capacity to pull, or more importantly stop.
